A 5.9 Quake Struck off the Coast of Mexico

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.9 occurred in the Gulf of California,
off the coast of northwestern Mexico. According to Mexico’s National Seismological
Service, the epicenter was located about 62 miles from Los Mochis, Sinaloa and
around 620 miles from Tijuana, Baja California. No damages or injuries have been
reported from the earthquake so far.
