According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, an EF-1 tornado with winds of
100 mph swept through the town of Cleveland, Mississippi on the evening of
September 25. As the storm ripped through the Stanton subdivision, numerous trees
were uprooted, structures damaged, and the county’s communication network
knocked out. So far no injuries have been reported.
