A 6.2‐magnitude earthquake hit Mexico’s Baja peninsula on Tuesday. The epicenter
was located 75 kilometers north of La Paz and at least 10 kilometers deep, according
to the USGS. No immediate damage or injury was reported while the temblor
frightened most residents in the affected areas, where earthquakes rarely take place.
