Queensland State of Australia survived the flood that occurred in December of 2010 only to find itself being struck by the powerful cyclone, “Yasi,” in February of 2011. Although the cyclone got weakened after landing, it still led to a great deal of agricultural losses added up over 1 billion US dollars. The accumulated rainfall has come up to 1000 mm and still increasing. So far few casualties have been caused due to the effectiveness of early warning and evacuation.
