Tropical Storm Debby Lashed Florida State
Tropical Storm Debby lashed Florida State on Sunday, June 24. The storm triggered two fatal tornadoes, one of which killed one woman in the central part of the state.As of Monday the 25th, Debby has been moving slowly in the Gulf of Mexico with torrential rains and perilous winds. Sunday afternoon, a large area of Florida went under a tornado and a flood watch as forecasters warned of torrential rains. Authorities were urged to shut down the Sunshine Skyway Bridge connecting St. Petersburg and Bradenton, Florida; meanwhile, Fire and rescue personnel in nearby Clearwater endeavored to help people with urgent medial needs as well dealing with floods.
