Tropical Storm Haikui Struck China’s Eastern Coast

Tropical storm Haikui, having diminished from typhoon status before making landfall,
struck China’s Eastern coast Wednesday morning (GMT). Haikui was moving
northwest at 20kph but was expected to slow down over the following days.
Meanwhile, more rain was expected in affected regions. According to the officials,
over 370 thousand people have been evacuated from the coastal city of Shanghai
and around 250 thousand from Zhejiang Province.
