Still More Rainfall Expected along Flooded Gulf Coast

Since early June, torrential rains had flooded the Gulf Coast, triggering widespread flood across north‐west Florida and coastal Alabama. As of June 11, million‐dollar damage was confirmed, and yet more rainfall was expected to affect several regions in Florida State.

A flood warning came in effect Tuesday along the Gulf coast across north‐west Florida and south‐west Alabama. Escambia County in Florida State remained in a state of emergency as progress was shown through the shut‐down of several shelters in that area. Officials and residents in affected areas will stay alert to the development of the situation.
