Tropical Storm Muifa Impacts on Korea and China

Tropical storm Muifa has cast great impacts on Korea since its landfall on Monday
evening, August 8. The storm brought heavy rainfall and gusty winds as it passed
through the country’s territory. In Seoul, South Korea, four people were reported dead
and another two missing. The storm has quickly abated after making landfall and is
expected to continue losing its strength.
Meanwhile in Shandong and Liaoning Provinces, eastern China, at least 490,000
residents were evacuated from homes, and no deaths or injuries are reported so far.
