Typhoon Meari Caused Devastation in the Philippines

Typhoon Meari struck the Philippines in late June and triggered torrential rains and
flash floods that have caused 25 deaths as well as over 260 homes damaged.
In Davao City, southern Philippines, considerable rains have led to overflow of the
nearby river, Pangi. Flash floods have impacted at least 12,000 families, urging the
evacuation to take effect within 24 hours.
